SAN JOSE HIGH SCHOOL BATCH 1989

The SAN JOSE HIGH SCHOOL of SAN JOSE, CAMARINES SUR batch of 1989 celebrated the 25 years after graduation or the SILVER ANNIVERSARY.

I was fortunate to become a member of that batch.

But It was just an unfortunate situation since I was not able to attend that significant celebration. I was out of the country during that time attending a schooling in Malaysia.

But looking at the pictures posted in our FACEBOOK Group, it was a fulfillment on my part seeing my classmates and former teachers together again after 25 years since I was one of the planners of the said important event in our life. 

This is one of the planning sessions of that remarkable SILVER ANNIVERSARY.

SAN JOSE (CAMARINES SUR)

SAN JOSE is one of the 

35 municipalities of CAMARINES SUR...

SAN JOSE is a fourthclass municipality located in the fourth or PARTIDO district...

SAN JOSE is used to be a barangay of LAGONOY called DANLOG but in 1816, it became a MUNICIPALITY called PATROCINIO from the word "PATRON", 

later it was renamed PATROCINIO DE SAN JOSE

then later it was renamed again to SAN JOSE until today...

It is located about 490 kilometers south of MANILA.

It is situated between the municipalities of GOA and LAGONOY.

One of the Barangays, SABANG is the gateway to the beautiful CARAMOAN PENINSULA. Caramoan is another town of CAMARINES SUR and becoming popular destination of tourists due to its beautiful islands and beaches...

SABANG BEACH, AGUIRANGAN ISLAND and the views of MOUNT ISAROG and MAYON VOLCANO are some of the attractions and places of interests in SAN JOSE.

The town has large area of RICE FIELDS. 

SAN JOSE can be reached by public transportation vehicle especially BUS bound for LAGONOY or SABANG. the travel time from manila is about 8 to 9 hours. The cost fare ranges from 500 to 800 pesos.

For faster trip, you can take  a commercial plane (about 1 hour and 30 minutes travel time) from MANILA to NAGA AIRPORT. The AIRPORT is actually located in the municipality of PILI (the capital town of Camarines Sur), then from PILI there are buses or air-conditioned vans from NAGA City bound for LAGONOY for about an hour travel.

MAJORITY of the residence are RICE FARMERS. 

Some are FISHERMEN...
