Bandung, the City of LOVE in Indonesia!

BANDUNG CITY is the capital of WEST JAVA. It is the third largest city in INDONESIA in terms of population.  It is about 140 kilometers southeast of JAKARTA (Capital of Indonesia) or about 2 and half hours land travel time. But unknown to many, BANDUNG is considered the PARIS IN JAVA, INDONESIA...

Let us find out why...

It is the home of the numerous interesting places in INDONESIA including the TANGKUBAN PERAHU, the QUEEN CRATER of a VOLCANO. A perfect venue for LOVERS to BURST their UNCONDITIONAL LOVE for each other!

BANDUNG is the favorite weekend and vacation destination for the people who are residing and working in JAKARTA because of its cooler temperature compared to other parts of INDONESIA.  It is 2,520 feet above sea level. Hotel accommodation in BANDUNG CITY is very affordable. We stayed overnight at ASTON TROPICANA HOTEL which has very strategic location if you want to go on shopping due to its proximity to FACTORY OUTLETS, MALLS and STORES selling various products. A perfect place for LOVERS to share unforgettable private moments!

It has also numerous awesome restaurants like the GUMILANG, STONE CAFE and RAJA SUNDA where we tasted the best INDONESIAN dishes including the most spicy food. GUMILANG RESTAURANT has a garden dining area at the top of a towering building. STONE CAFE has an splendid ambiance overlooking the whole of BANDUNG CITY complemented by a LIVE BAND. The RAJA SUNDA restaurant has a welcoming ambiance for tired guests after a long trip from JAKARTA. Another perfect places for LOVERS to create remarkable moments!

BANDUNG is a also a popular shopping destination in INDONESIA due to the presence of numerous factory outlets and shopping establishments selling locally-produced items and also imported products from THAILAND, SINGAPORE and MALAYSIA. Another perfect reason for LOVERS to bring home something special as remembrance of WONDERFUL moments together!

For my 2 days and 1 night stay in BANDUNG CITY, I believe that I only explored a very small portion of the the CITY OF LOVE in INDONESIA. For that very short period of time, it provided me the glimpse of the LOVABLE city that already captured my HEART and IMAGINATION.

BANDUNG CITY is certainly the place for lovers in INDONESIA like PARIS. It has much to offer for DATES, HONEYMOONS and other events aimed to CELEBRATE LOVE as FOUNDATION OF WONDERFUL LIFE.

If you are planning to visit INDONESIA, do not forget to include BANDUNG CITY in your itinerary to have a complete JOURNEY in the WORLD'S LARGEST ARCHIPELAGO.

Hotel Santika: Comfortable Haven in Jakarta City

HOTEL SANTIKA is our home in JAKARTA CITY for 4 nights and 3 days. Strategic location is the best feature of HOTEL SANTIKA. It is just a walking distance to the MINI INDONESIA PARK and few minutes drive from various RESTAURANTS AND MALLS.

The cool ambiance and quite environs of the hallway inside HOTEL SANTIKA.

Nice reminder for the occupants of the hotel rooms. This is posted at the glass door leading to the terrace.

We are situated at the third floor overlooking the swimming pool and captivating view of some parts of JAKARTA CITY including the highway.

SPA services are available right at your hotel room. In INDONESIA, with just 100$ you are already a millionaire. 100$ is equivalent to 1,400,000 Rupiah (Indonesia Currency). One Philippine Peso is equivalent to 300 Rupiah. With the prices below, they are very affordable when converted to Dollars or Pesos. However, we were not able to avail of the SPA services since most of the time we arrived very late coming from dinner at different restaurants every night. A showcase of the best restaurants in JAKARTA.

This is the BUFFET BREAKFAST room at HOTEL SANTIKA where we had our breakfast during our first 3 days in INDONESIA. It opens at 6am with a loud sound of the GONG situated at the entrance door.

My first breakfast in INDONESIA, at HOTEL SANTIKA. It was actually a FEAST of INDONESIAN FOOD and some familiar food for us Filipinos. What I like the most in INDONESIA are the fresh fruit juices as drinks and fresh fruits as dessert. They don't serve SODA or SOFTDRINKS. They aslo don't serve BEER.

During our OFFICIAL DINNER or FELLOWSHIP DINNER with our counterparts which was held inside HOTEL SANTIKA. It was conducted during our first night in INDONESIA.

TERIMA KASIH INDONESIAN AIR FORCE for the HOSPITALITY and the WARM WELCOME!
