The TANGKUBAN PERAHU VOLCANO is situated 30 kilometers from the city proper of BANDUNG, the capital of the province of WEST JAVA in INDONESIA. Its last eruption was in 1983.
BANDUNG CITY is about 2 and half hours away by land travel from JAKARTA CITY, the capital of INDONESIA.
It is one of the popular tourist destinations where you can grasp the alluring beauty of the crater of the volcano. The picture below is the biggest crater of the volcano called "KAWAH RATU" or the "QUEEN CATER OF TANGKUBAN PERAHU".
The name TANGKUBAN PERAHU means "UPTURNED BOAT" which comes from a LOVE STORY.
There were many tourists (both locals and foreigners) in the area.
The tour guide provided us the rich information and guided us even in buying souvenir items.
You have to pay 2,000 Rupiah to use the toilet. It is equivalent to 7 pesos in the Philippines. WANITA means FEMALE while PRIA means MALE.
Variety of INDONESIAN FOOD are also available.
The highest point in the volcano is a perfect platform to capture the whole picture of natural beauty of the place.

There are many stall selling various products, just like in the "MINES VIEW PARK" of BAGUIO CITY in the PHILIPPINES.

However, the 15 kilograms limitation for our luggage made us wise in selecting small and light weight items.
Handicrafts are also available at very affordable cost.
But we are just contented in taking pictures because we cannot buy and bring them all.
Refreshing...relaxing view...certainly a PARADISE in INDONESIA!!!
SMOKES were seen coming out of the crater. Sign that it is unsafe to go down inside the crater.
