Puerto Princesa Underground River: World's Longest Navigable Underground River

One of the 7 New Wonders of the Natural World is in the PHILIPPINES...particularly in the city of PUERTO PRINCESA, province of PALAWAN...

PUERTO PRINCESA UNDERGROUND RIVER...

Although, I visited this amazing work of nature for many times already but it never failed to mesmerize me...of how it was naturally crafted into a remarkable majestic paradise...

The PUERTO PRINCESA UNDERGROUND RIVER (PPUR) is part of the PUERTO PRINCESA SUBTERRANEAN RIVER NATIONAL PARK, a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. It is situated about 80 kilometers (5 miles) north of the Puerto Princesa City proper. The entire area is a model of biodiversity with more than 800 plant species, including 300 trees, 199 bird species, 30 mammals, 19 reptiles, and 18 bat species.

The PPUR is considered as the longest navigable underground river in the world with a total 8.2 kilometers.

Certainly, there will be another opportunity for me to once again visit the PUERTO PRINCESA UNDERGROUND RIVER. An opportunity that is always welcome, not only to be mesmerized again, but to ensure that this significant work of nature is still there. The symbol on how we protect and preserve our environment.

THANK YOU LORD FOR THIS WONDERFUL CREATION...

Make the PUERTO PRINCESA UNDERGROUND RIVER as one of your priority destinations during your next holiday vacation. The journey, expenses, time, and effort that will be devoted to visit this wonder of nature will be fully compensated with your magical encounter with this amazing destination.

From the PUERTO PRINCESA CITY proper, there are numerous transportation services that will bring you to SABANG BEACH for an hour and a half travel. Then from Sabang beach to the entrance of the underground river, there are available motorboats for about 20 to 30 minutes minutes travel time.
