GOODBYE SOCIAL MEDIA FOR 10 MONTHS

I have extremely mixed emotions today. Only now that the reality is starting to sink in. Although 10 months is still considered a short period compared to occupying a position in the organization, it is my first time to go out of the country for that duration.

The process was very past. In less than 2 weeks after facing the SELECTION BOARD FOR FOREIGN SCHOOLING for interview, I am ready to go with all the after successfully satisfying all the required processes and documents. My training at the Philippine Military Academy and the experiences in the deployment areas greatly helped me to conform with the fast-changing demand of military profession. For that very limited time, I have prepared myself emotionally, physically, and all other aspects. The CHECKLIST SYSTEM also significantly reinforced the stressed-free preparation.

In my initial research about my destination, social media is almost totally blocked. There will be no FACEBOOK, no TWITTER, and no BLOGSPOT for me starting tomorrow and for the rest of 308 days. But I am ready to take the challenge and to experience something new. It will be another worthwhile JOURNEY to reveal when I come back.

I will be missing many things when I finally leave tomorrow. I will not be able to constantly update my status on FB and TWITTER. I will not be able to write and post BLOGS about my JOURNEY. I will not be able to watch live basketball games at the ARANETA CENTER or MOA ARENA. I will not be completely updated about the incoming POLITICAL EXERCISE. I will not be updated about ALDUB, YOUR FACE SOUNDS FAMILIAR, THE VOICE and other information being posted on social media and being shown on mainstream television shows. I will be missing my LOVED ONES, FRIENDS, PETS, MY FORMER OFFICE, MY MISTAHS, MY JOURNEYS during weekends and holidays and everything that I do here in our beloved country.

On the other hand, I will be able to reach new destinations. I will be able to discover amazing places outside our beautiful country. I will be acquainted to the different cultures, languages and new personalities. It is certainly an unfolding of new learning experiences needed for professional development and personal growth.

When I come back, the country and the organization where I belong will ESSENTIALLY CHANGE, maybe not in situation but particularly in top leadership. We will be having a new PRESIDENT. The ARMED FORCES OF THE PHILIPPINES will be having a new CHIEF OF STAFF and the PHILIPPINE AIR FORCE will be having a new COMMANDING GENERAL.

Thank you everyone for being a part of my INSPIRING JOURNEY for the past 8 months of BLOGGING. I will be absent from my PAGE for the next 10 months, but whatever experiences and insights that I will be gaining from this JOURNEY will be shared with you in the future.

MARAMING SALAMAT.
THANK YOU.
TERIMA KASIH.

Taste Buds Haven: Heavenly Indulgence

It was another wonderful JOURNEY for my taste buds last weekend. It was another delicious JOURNEY.

If you are looking for interestingly delicious cakes, TASTE BUDS HEAVEN is the perfect place when you are in LUCENA CITY. The artistic design of the name of the restaurant written on the plate using syrup is another delightful "gimmick".

Celebrate the sweetness of LIFE at TASTE BUDS HAVEN. it is located along DONA AURORA HIGHWAY about midway from the LUCENA CITY proper and DIVERSION ROAD in Barangay GULANG-GULANG. It is just beside the SEA ISLE RESTAURANT.

During our visit, there are only 2 types of cakes maybe because it was already very late in the afternoon. There are also rice meals, appetizers, and other dishes at TASTE BUDS HAVEN.

There are also a wide variety of drinks including COFFEE. I ordered CAFE AMERIKANO during my visit. There is even KAPENG BARAKO in the menu.

I like the colorful design of the clean restroom. Cleanliness of the restroom is one of the criteria for a restaurant to be included in my TOP CHOICES. It is very important that a RESTAURANT or any food store should have clean surroundings. Although, I don't see any "NO SMOKING" signage which the restaurant should comply based on RA 9211.
