How the Filipino Soldier Delectable Tradition called "BOODLEFIGHT" being done?

One of the traditions that I love about being in the military service is the BOODLEFIGHT.

The food is just secondary. I am more delighted  by what it represents. It symbolizes many things which are essential of being in the military service like BROTHERHOOD, TEAMWORK, and EQUALITY.

Writing about this blog came suddenly.
It was one Tuesday afternoon while I was showing some pictures about my country, PHILIPPINES, to my classmates from different countries when one picture attracted the attention of my female classmate from AFRICA. She said "wait, I want to see what kind of food is that."
I replied, "That is what we called in the PHILIPPINES especially in the military as "BOODLEFIGHT".
She was amused and asked for a copy of the picture to show it to her comrades and prepare something like that when she goes back home to AFRICA after the completion of our schooling in CHINA.

That moment triggered me to write this simple blog. It is really amazing on how one comment or a remarkable moment inspired you to do something.

This schooling is really a holistic approach in EDUCATION. It is not just learning about the theories about WAR, but also learning more things and lessons outside the classroom, learning from other international students from 44 different countries and also from our Chinese classmates, aside from the formal lectures and discussion.

To make this BLOG more substantial, I conducted research about BOODLEFIGHT.

These are some of the interesting facts what I discovered.

While searching for some definitions of the word BOODLEFIGHT, it is defined in the following sentences:

"A Philippine military eating tradition, originally practiced by the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) cadets, wherein members of the military—regardless of rank—gather around a long table where a jumble of food is spread over banana leaves or old newspapers, and eaten with bare hands, as a symbol of fraternity and equality."

Yes I vividly remembered those moments when I was still a PMA cadet, we regularly gathered for a simple boodlefight with DRIED FISH, SCRAMBLED EGGS, SARDINES, and  STEAMED RICE using old newspapers and sometimes plastic bags.

Another definition that caught my attention:
"In the Philippines, boodlefight is a military terminology for “eating combat” or “attack the food.”

As a HUEY helicopter pilot once in my life, I usually experienced having BOODLEFIGHT not only with the AIR FORCE GUYS but also together with the ARMY and NAVY comrades especially during combat operations.

Then another definition is appropriately describing BOODLEFIGHT whether in the field, in the camp, in air bases, or even in offices:

"The boodle fight is usually prepared in celebration after a successful event or for a special occasion.
Boodle fight is a military style of eating where long tables are prepared and food are on top of the banana leaves. Viands and rice ready to eat using your bare hands, jugs of water are prepared on the side to wash hands before the "eating combat". With the signal to start the boodle fight, everyone aims for his/her position.
A traditional meal where the food (usually pancit - skinny noodles cooked in grease) is dumped in a pile on old newspaper and then everybody eats as fast as they can using their fingers.

The fourth definition sums up the ESSENCE of BOODLEFIGHT:

"A military style of eating, Boodle Fight is a symbol of brotherhood and equality among Filipino military by sharing the same food without regard to rank."

I also found an interesting comment about BOODLEFIGHT:

For some people they may find this very unhygienic but sometimes you cannot be too choosy, especially when you want to survive in the middle of nowhere. In this fight you have to eat fast. Just enjoy and have fun.

HOW ABOUT YOU?
HAVE YOU ALREADY EXPERIENCED BOODLEFIGHT? What are your thoughts and comments?

Why Andres Bonifacio is called the "Father of Philippine Revolution"?

NOVEMBER 30 is declared as a regular holiday in the PHILIPPINES. Does every Filipino know the significance of this day?

November 30 is  BONIFACIO DAY.

Who is BONIFACIO? What are his contributions to be given such HONOR and SIGNIFICANCE?
ANDRES BONIFACIO'S only existing photograph

ANDRES BONIFACIO was born in a poor family in TONDO, MANILA on November 30, 1863. His father, SANTIAGO BONIFACIO, is a native of TAGUIG while his mother is CATALINA DE CASTRO, a native of IBA, ZAMBALES.

Andres Bonifacio is the eldest of 6 Children. His siblings are CIRIACO, PROCOPIO, TROADIO, ESPERIDIONA, and MAXIMA. He dropped out of school at the age of 14 because he had to attend to his siblings since both his parents died of illness one year apart. He is gifted with talent in crafts and visual arts.  He made bamboo canes and paper fans that he peddled to earn money for his siblings. He was a part-time theater actor. He usually played the role of "BERNARDO CARPIO", a fictional Filipino hero.

A life of poverty and perseverance strengthened his will for sacrifices and his ability for difficult challenges, but did not weaken his will. This did not allow him to lose sight of the gargantuan issues and huge concerns affecting the country.

On July 7, 1892, the day after Rizal's deportation was announced, BONIFACIO officially founded the KATIPUNAN, a movement which sought the independence of the PHILIPPINES from Spanish colonial rule. He ignited the PHILIPPINE REVOLUTION and laid groundwork for the first Philippine Republic.

He was married twice. First to MONICA from 1880 until her death in 1890 due to LEPROSY.  Then to GREGORIA DE JESUS in 1893. His only son, ANDRES JR. who was born in 1896 died due to smallpox during infancy.

Accused of treason, ANDRES and his brother, PROCOPIO, were sentenced to die. On May 10, 1897, the execution team led by LAZARO MACAPAGAL brought Bonifacio brothers to Maragondon mountain and killed them by using gun and bolo.
SIGNATURE OF ANDRES BONIFACIO

NOTE: It is very important to know the significance of ANDRES BONIFACIO in our HISTORY. He is a HERO that provided us the INDEPENDENCE that we are enjoying now as a COUNTRY. He is also the reason why NOVEBMER 30 is a holiday in the PHILIPPINES, meaning FREEDOM from going to work for those employed and attending school for the students.

Gentle Reminders for Ladies!

In public places including places of worship, you can always see people especially ladies wearing extremely SHORT pants or very REVEALING shirt or dress.

THE SHORT STORY BELOW IS INTENDED TO REMIND THEM THAT THEIR BODIES ARE PRECIOUS TREASURE AND SHOULD BE COVERED ENOUGH:

Two young ladies arrived a Meeting wearing clothes that were quite revealing their body parts. Here is what the Chairman told them: He took a good look at them and made them sit. Then he said something that, they might never forget in their life. He looked at them straight in the eyes and said; "ladies, everything that God made valuable in this world is well covered and hardly to see, find or get.

1. Where do you find diamonds? Deep down in the ground, covered and protected.
2. Where do you find pearls? Deep down at the bottom of the ocean, covered up and protected in a beautiful shell.
3. Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine, covered over with layers of rock and to get them, you have to work hard & dig deep down to get them.

He looked at them with serious eyes and said;

"Your body is sacred & unique" You are far more precious than gold, diamonds and pearls, and you should be covered too. "So he added that, if you keep your treasured mineral just like gold, diamond and pearls, deeply covered up, a reputable mining organization with the requisite machinery will fly down and conduct years of extensive exploration.
First, they will contact your government (family), sign professional contracts (wedding) and mine you professionally( legal marriage). But if you leave your precious minerals uncovered on the surface of the earth, you always attract a lot of illegal miners to come and mine you illegally. Everybody will just pick up their crude instruments and just have a dig on you just freely like that. Keep your bodies deeply covered so that it invites professional miners to chase you."

In many instances also, there are victims of rape because of how they wear their clothes.

JUST SOMETHING TO REFLECT ABOUT...

Melting of the Snow: Freezing Environment

It was more than a week ago when I experienced for the first time the snowfall. It was an exciting and remarkable moment for me. An unforgettable one indeed. Coming from a tropical country like the Philippines, it was a rare privilege to witness such kind of phenomenon.
For several days, the snowfall continuously filling the leaves and branches of the trees and plants, the roofs, and the ground with considerable amount of snow.
Today, the snowfall has finally stopped. I decided to explore the outside world after a week without any exposure. We were very lucky because the dorm, the dining hall and the classroom are housed in just one building. We can survive without even bothering to go outside provided that we have all the basic supplies with us. Since it was Saturday and I needed to buy some items for personal use and equipped with basic winter gears, I went out to once again explore. The mall is just 15 minutes from the location of our college.
While walking, the majestic scenery along the way are irresistible not to pause for awhile, take pictures and savor the magical moment with snow.

The melting of the snow is a slow process mainly because of the relatively low temperature and the sun has not completely show up today. For the succeeding days, the sun is expected to shine to help in the faster melting of the snow.

I have to cross the footbridge to be able to go to the WANLIU MALL. Although I can use the subway train to reach the said mall, I preferred to walk for 15 minutes passing thru  park to burn some calories and to once again be acquainted with the outside world. Despite the freezing temperature at negative 4 degrees centigrade, there are still many people walking, jogging, and biking along the way. However, they are completely covered.

After crossing the footbridge, I entered the compound of the BAGOU MOUNTAIN WATER PARK to take the shortcut going to the WANLIU MALL.

Inside the park are the snow flakes scattered anywhere.

After almost 2 hours of once again experiencing the outside world, I went back to my room waiting to comfort my trembling body and soul after battling with the freezing outside temperature.

I will continuously explore and share with you the stories and the pictures along my JOURNEY in this new found paradise.

Captivating Environs, Wandering Thoughts, Random Memories...

It has been repeatedly said that a "PICTURE paints a THOUSAND WORDS"...

...........and usually PICTURE stirs MIXED EMOTIONS for many people...

During the first 10-minute break for the morning class today, I looked outside and was amazed by the alluring environs especially the blue sky painted with white clouds. Then, I suddenly remembered many things and unforgettable moments not only about my own JOURNEY  but also an indelible mark in history.

I am actually presently attending a 10-month course in China. Whenever I am not preoccupied with classroom lectures, preparations for presentations, group works and other activities related to the course, my wandering thoughts usually travel back to the Philippines...just like today!

Exactly 6 years ago today (November 23), I was designated as the Chief of the Human Resource Management Office at the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) of the Philippine Air Force. I was then a newly promoted MAJOR. It was the culmination of my long JOURNEY in personnel management after occupying several similar position.

Unfortunately down south in Mindanao at that very moment, a tragic accident happened. I am referring to the MAGUINDANAO MASSACRE. Until now, I don't think so that the victims already get the appropriate justice for that brutal crime.

The captivating view comprised of the blue sky, scattered clouds, and alluring trees inspired me to write this blog

The topic about GENERAL OF LAW essentially brought into my senses those happy and sad memories. JUSTICE must prevail. It is a very important element in PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, the LAW AND ORDER or DISCIPLINE. In the same manner, JUSTICE should be provided timely especially for gruesome crimes like that of MAGUINDANAO MASSACRE for the people of the nation to be assured that JUSTICE SYSTEM really works and that LAW ENFORCEMENT is being given due attention. With thousands of brilliant lawyers in the three branches of government, the question that keeps lingering in my mind since eternity is that; why our JUSTICE is very slow and entirely ineffective?

Another wonderful angle of the beauty of the environs as viewed from window of our classroom

Hopefully, one day when I look around I can say that I am safe to have a HAPPY and SUCCESSFUL  LIFE because we have an effective JUSTICE SYSTEM and at the same time we have proactive and responsive LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES.

I hope to see the CLEAR SUNNY SKIES of JUSTICE SYSTEM and PEOPLE appointed or elected to positions who are not only capable, brilliant, and passionate in the performance of their duties and responsibilities but also MEN WITH UNQUESTIONABLE INTEGRITY!!!

We should not ELECT or APPOINT people to positions because they are our RELATIVES, FRIENDS and COMRADES. Electing and appointing people should be based on CAPABILITY, EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND, EXPERIENCES, and MOST OF ALL, INTEGRITY!

I AM PRAYING
FOR A PROGRESSIVE
PHILIPPINES IN THE NEAR FUTURE!!!

Sunshine after the Snowfall, Looking at the Bright Side of Life!

There is always a sunshine after the rain and snowfall.

According to weather news, there would be moderate snowfall in BEIJING.

But for a person like me who experienced it for the very first time,
it was a magical day of heavy snow.

Today, it is a welcome break to see the sun shining from above penetrating our shivering senses to taste again its morning kiss and warm embrace after several cloudy, gloomy, rainy, and snowy days.

The sunshine is also a symbolic success for our group. We are already done with our group work presentation after a very challenging process of putting up varying ideas and comprehensively capturing and encapsulating knowledge and experiences from 7 individuals from 7 different countries into one SOLID and EXCELLENT presentation.

Tomorrow, we are ready to present our output!!!

Just like in LIFE, after undergoing challenges and difficulties, good things will always come for those who have the perseverance to endure the trying moments.

SNOW: Showers of Nature's Overwhelming Wonders

Everyday is a beautiful day...

Everyday upon waking up, I always thank GOD for all the blessings that I received and continuously receiving. Today, I feel truly blessed to experience something wonderful again.

The author while experiencing magical moment
Last Friday was my first time to experience SNOWFALL, but today the snowfall is even amazing to watch, to experience, to behold, and to play with...

Together with an equally excited classmate from Botswana

I will never forget this day, SUNDAY, 22 November 2015
at around 9am!!!

The view from the window of author's bedroom at the 6th floor of the Department of International Students' Building

At the temperature of negative 1 degree centigrade, SNOW is continuously and remarkably falling from above down on the leaves, trees, cars, even on the ground, on my head, and in my senses...

Another wonderful view

and I am falling for this wonderful natural phenomenon!!!
The author enjoying the new experience

Glimpse of Winter in BEIJING: Freezing Wonderful Memories!!!

I just arrived from a long stroll. The two hours exposure to the extremely freezing environs of BEIJING particularly in HAIDIAN DISTRICT occupied my Saturday afternoon and at the same time acquainted me to the feel of ZERO DEGREE temperature!

Allow me to share with you the freezing wonderful moments reinforced by the actual pictures I took along the way including some information about the places that I visited.
This is inside the camp of the school where I am presently studying...alluring environment...
This is still inside the camp where I am staying and studying. One of the main roads..
This is already outside the camp. The freezing temperature can be best exemplified by the clothes of these individuals who are also strolling.
Refreshing environs...wide pathways...perfect to explore the remarkable environs of BEIJING...
This is the convenient way to the footbridge which also serves as passageways for bicycles and motorcycles
This is the footbridge, wide and free from any obstructions...
The view of the calm river and towering green trees while crossing the footbridge is remarkably captivating...
Along the road, there are helpful signages and directions including the nearest SUBWAY STATION...
I decided to ride the SUBWAY TRAIN going to the nearest mall not necessarily to save time but the freezing temperature is really unbearable for prolong exposure.
Safety is highly observed in the SUBWAY STATIONS. There are XRAY machines to check luggage just like entering an airport. Aside from convenience and efficiency, passengers are also highly protected due to reliable inspections being conducted prior to entry of all people to the train. There are also glass walls and doors that protect the passengers while waiting, while entering and alighting from the train.
After only one station, I alighted to visit the WORLD'S BIGGEST MALL...the GR SHOPPING MALL. This is the first mall that I visited in BEIJING. It was October 1 this year when I walked going outside the camp to discover this mall. It will only take 15 to 20 minutes walk from the camp going to this mall.
Inside the mall...located at the BASEMENT is the place for kids and some restaurants
There is really a need to be completely covered and protected from the freezing environment. Aside from wearing thick clothing, jacket or coat, there is  also a need to wear gloves and bonnet...

After 2 hours of exploration, I decided to go back to my room to attend to some class requirements and prepare for the succeeding activities.
Unfortunately, there is no SNOW today. Unlike yesterday when I experienced snowfall for the very first time...absolutely amazing moment for me!

My first experience of the SNOWFALL!

It was FRIDAY, 20th day of November in 2015.
It was exactly 9 in the morning!
Extremely amazing moment for me.
It was another first time.
THE FIRST TIME TO EXPERIENCE SNOWFALL!!!
Experiencing the SNOWFALL for the very first time together with classmates from different countries from different continents...

While we were having an intense discussion inside the classroom about the lecture CHINESE MILITARY STRATEGY, magical MOMENT was happening outside the window.

Yes, SNOW falling continuously and beautifully!!!
...like hundreds of cotton balls floating in the air,
slowly falling to the trees, leaves, rooftops, ground,
and to our senses...
tenderly touching our heart...
fully awakening the child within us.
What a magical phenomenon! What an amazing moment!

One of our classmates raised his hand and said that while we were enjoying the lively and interesting classroom discussion, however, there was something special happening outside.

We shifted our attention outside and we were greeted by the remarkable moment!
Since majority of us did not experience SNOWFALL before, the professor gave us break and everyone was rushing outside just like children extremely excited to play in the rain.

A freezing remarkable JOURNEY!
It was unbelievable event for me, as soon as I went out I looked up in the sky thanking GOD for this wonderful experience, certainly a great blessing from the Almighty to witness such rare phenomenon!

Everyone was jumping and shouting for joy while taking pictures.
It was a milestone for us during this one year of stay in CHINA especially in BEIJING.

It became part of another amazing learning experience outside the classroom. Something that I will never experience in the Philippines!

The experience was more special because it was shared with people from different countries and different continents!
Thank you for this UNFORGETTABLE
another first time in my existence!
SNOW is defined as precipitation in the form of flakes of crystalline water ice that falls from the clouds.

But for me,  SNOW means

Shower of
Nature's
Outpouring
Wonders...

The world record for the highest seasonal total snowfall was measured in the United States at Mount Baker Ski areas, outside the town of Bellingham, Washington during the 1998-1999 season. Mount Baker received 2,896 centimeters (95.01 ft) of snow.

SNOW can be designated by shape of the flakes, the rate of accumulation, and the way the snow collects on the ground.

In Beijing, WINTER season is from NOVEMBER to MARCH of the following year. The average temperature is from  negative 5 to positive 5 degrees centigrade, however, the temperature can drop to  negative 22. WHEW!!! So it simply means SNOWFALL can happen anytime within that span of 5 months!!!

I am looking forward for more SNOWFALLS in the coming days!!!

Xiexie for this AMAZING JOURNEY!!!

BAGUIO TO BATANGAS TO BEIJING: BRIGHT BEACONS

It was one freezing night after dinner when I decided to take a walk towards the store inside the college camp. My purpose was to have at least a physical activity to dampen the effect of too much eating and too much relaxation that makes me a little bit gain weight. It was during that the stroll when I realized that my present situation is almost exactly the same when I had my training as a cadet at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) in BAGUIO CITY more than 20 years ago and as a STUDENT PILOT at the PHILIPPINE AIR FORCE FLYING SCHOOL about 18 years ago.

The cold temperature initially ignited that comparison. But after further flashback, It was that stage of life when I entered PMA  that brought gargantuan transformation in me. At present, this schooling in BEIJING is another similar opportunity that could my life drastic positive development.

to be continued...

International Students at Air Force Command College: Education Beyond Borders

ABSTRACT

The paper partly discussed education system in CHINA. However, the main focus is about the impact of courses for international students being conducted at the Air Force Command College.

The influencing factors are the People’s Republic of China, the People’s Liberation Army, the Air Force Command College, the participating countries, and the students.

The expected conditions are improved relationships not only between China and with other countries but also among the nations in the world, the unfolding of best practices of doing things from different countries, the effective ways on how to deal with different types of people and the promotion of tourism industry in CHINA with the participants from different countries.

The word EDUCATION will be utilized as acronym to completely encapsulate the comprehensive conclusion of this paper. Conclusion that grasp the totality of education that the international students will get from participating in the courses offered by the Air Force Command College:

Enhancing sufficient knowledge.
Developing effective skills.
Unlocking unlimited potentials.
Creating remarkable experiences.
Achieving greater heights.
Transforming passionate hearts.
Inspiring breakthrough ideas.
Outpouring valuable insights.
Nurturing relationships beyond borders.

I.        INTRODUCTION

Education is an integral part of human resource development in any country and an indispensable factor of human resource management in any organization.

Economic progress of the country and the attainment of goals of an organization greatly depend on the quality of knowledge, skills, and character of its people. Human resource could be the greatest asset or worst liability of any country or organization. Qualities and conditions that could be positively enhanced and be rightly reinforced by providing sufficient and responsive education. It should be sufficient because of the enormous amount of lessons and experiences brought about by the continuous discovery of many things. It should be responsive because of the fast changing situation and rapid development of systems and best practices. Education should be beyond just classroom instructions or even immediate environment. Education should extend beyond conventional lessons. Education should transcend boundaries. It should be limitless and bottomless. Learning is borderless. It is beyond classroom instruction, discussion, presentation, and examination. It extends even beyond own country. It hurdles language barriers, religious beliefs, and cultural differences.

Since EDUCATION is a gargantuan topic to deal with, this paper will only focus on the education provided by the AIR FORCE COMMAND COLLEGE to international students. The author considers this subject that it has a great significance not only for him but also to other participants, to the AFCC, to the PLA, to the PRC, and to the countries of origin of the participants.

China has been providing education for international students for long time already. Aside from maintaining its international relationship to the countries around the world, it is also promoting education at the highest level. Investing in the awareness of other countries about its rich history, engaging culture, delectable cuisines, world class products, and most especially the high quality educational system that make CHINA as a worldwide brand and an emerging superpower.

As a background, the author primarily selected this topic because education is very close to his heart. He achieved success and improved his economic condition because of education. He came from a very poor family in a highly depressed province in the Philippines. But his economic condition did not hinder him to dream big and to achieve his dreams of attaining comfortable life not for him but for his family, loved ones, friends, and other people. He believes that education is free. He was educated for free from the very start. He was a product of the public school system in the Philippines from public school primary up to high school. Then he was able to avail of an scholarship program while in college as an engineering student. Then during his sophomore year, he passed the entrance examination for cadetship at the Philippine Military Academy (the country’s premier military institution). Then after four years, he graduated from the academy and joined the Philippine Air Force and qualified to be trained as a military pilot. After 18 months, he completed the flying training from the Philippine Air Force Flying School. In 2011, he again qualified to take up the Master in Management degree from the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) for free. And now, he was selected to take up the Air Force Command and Staff Program here at the Air Force Command College in Beijing, China. It was really a great privilege for him to be educated for totally free for all the education that he got during his entire life.

In 2012, as a gesture of conveying his deep gratitude to the Almighty and humanity he put a project called “SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO POOR BUT DESERVING STUDENTS.” He is providing set of complete school supplies like bags, notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, paper and other school requirements to those who excelled in class. He also provided medals for honor students and served as GUEST SPEAKER during Graduation and recognition ceremonies to inspire students about his personal story on how he was able to attain his dreams despite poverty.

Before attending this Command and Staff program, he was regularly invited as an instructor at the different units and offices in the Philippine Air Force especially to the schools of the main education and training institution of the Philippine Air Force, the AIR EDUCATION AND TRAINING COMMAND. In every assignment and position that he was designated during his 19 years in the active service, he always believes that it is an opportunity to teach and share his knowledge with his subordinates especially on leadership, management, written communication, including his experiences in the field as a helicopter pilot. Aside from making legacy and extending his knowledge and skills with others, he was also discovering things along the way that he never knew before that he possessed. It was an enlightening to know that he can leave a lasting legacy and touch lives by just teaching them how to manage things efficiently and to get things done effectively. Education is an amazing activity. It is one of the things on earth that one can share with everyone and in the process you accumulate more learning and realization.

It has been said that human resource, personnel or people can be the greatest asset or worst liability of any organization or any country in peacetime or in wartime. By developing people through education, you are not only investing for the people for their own consumption but you are building an educated nation that will have a long term positive impact to the world.

During the Acquaintance Party of the 17th Command and Staff Course at the Department of International Students (DIS) Dining Hall, Air Force Command College, Beijing, China on October 23, 2015 (a day before the birthday of the author which is also coincidentally the United Nation Organization Anniversary)
II.                CURRENT CONDITION

According to the GUIDEBOOK TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS, the Air Force Command College started to provide training for international students in March of 2001. The current course is now the 17th batch of international students to undergo different courses at the Department of International Students (DIS).  The department is offering the Air Force Senior Command Course, the Air Force Intermediate-level Flight Command Course and the Command and Staff Course.

At present, AFCC is conducting different courses to the International students composed of individuals from 44 various countries from other continents around the world such as Europe, North America, South America, and Africa. There are also many participants from other Asian countries like the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia.

III.              ANALYSIS AND IMPACT

A. Influencing factors

The desire and capability of the People’s Republic of China, the noble intention of the People’s Liberation Army and the ingenuity of the Air Force Command College are the greatest influencing factors of why the courses for international students are being offered and conducted at the AFCC. The brilliant idea to come up with this rare opportunity for the participants not only to learn at the strategic perspective but to grasp the chance to know more about the emerging country in the world and explore the captivating beauty of its environs.

The next influencing factor is the willingness of the 44 different countries to send individuals to participate in the different courses at the AFCC.

The individuals who are willing to trudge the unknown, the uncertainty, and for majority to be away from their families, loved ones, and friends and to be separated from their comfort zones just to answer the call of this wonderful endeavor are another important influencing factors.

Factors that synergistically fit together to come up with this wonderful phenomenon of paving comprehensive education for individuals from diverse background at higher level and wide in scope.

B. Expected conditions

It was an amazing phenomenon to see individuals coming from more than 20 countries in one classroom united by one goal – education. It is even interesting to know that individuals from 43 different countries are staying in one building, attending classes, having meals in one dining area, and crafting unforgettable moments. It is also enlightening to see about 8 individuals from different countries in one dining table enjoying the same kind of food and drinks, while sharing stories about their own countries enriching the knowledge of everyone as if everyone has visited other countries transcending language barriers and cultural differences building friendship and camaraderie beyond borders. It was even captivating to see them in one formation marching during the celebration of the PLA founding anniversary celebration at the parade ground of the college.

The move of the Air Force Command College to accept international students since March of 2001 is not only an excellent decision to provide strong link between China and other countries but also links among other countries. The gathering of many individuals in one venue was even made more special because the author was born exactly the same day several years after the UNITED NATION ORGANIZATION was founded. For him, it was the realization of his modest dream to see the whole world united by one goal, at least in this way it is already being realized. It is an initial step to make this world truly a peaceful one. In the future when these international officers become the heads of their respective Armed Forces or even as leaders in their country, there will be closer ties among Armed Forces or even countries in the world because of the friendship, good relationship, and camaraderie being developed among participants. The officers sent by different countries are carefully selected from the best so there is a big possibility of having them as Chiefs of the Armed Forces or even leaders of their nations in the near future. In this way, world will be more peaceful and fighting worldwide problems such as terrorism and human rights violations will be easier to solve.

To learn different human behaviors from numerous countries is a significant input of the comprehensive education at the Air Force Command College. When we come back to our respective countries, we will be positioned to higher designations dealing with many people with different backgrounds and orientations. People management is the key element in leading an organization. That is why learning to deal with varying factors will essentially help a Commander to lead his organization not only to accomplish the mission but also to bring it to greater heights.

In terms of the impact in the tourism industry in CHINA, the exposure of these individuals to the different tourist destinations will help in the promotion of these places that will essentially boost the tourism industry that will significantly reinforce the country’s rapid economic progress.

Cultural differences, languages barriers, and individual differences are essential elements of learning to intelligent deal with demanding situations and fast changing times.

Another excellent impact of the prolong and continuous interactions among the students are the unfolding of best practices and correct ways of doing things from other countries and Armed Forces that other individuals can get and apply when they go back to their respective countries if given the chance to be designated at sensitive positions to perform duties with higher responsibilities.

IV.        CONCLUSION

The word EDUCATION will be utilized as acronym to completely encapsulate the comprehensive conclusion of this paper. Conclusion that grasp the totality of education that the international students will get from participating in the courses offered by the Air Force Command College:

Enhancing sufficient knowledge.
Developing effective skills.
Unlocking unlimited potentials.
Creating remarkable experiences.
Achieving greater heights.
Transforming passionate hearts.
Inspiring breakthrough ideas.
Outpouring valuable insights.
Nurturing relationships beyond borders.
