I passed by the town proper of PAGBILAO in QUEZON PROVINCE more than a hundred times already since it is the link by land travel between CAMARINES SUR (my home province) and METRO MANILA. Since I was a kid, I was regularly travelling from BICOL REGION to MANILA and vice versa either by private or public vehicle but never had the chance to stop over at any part of PAGBILAO until last year when we met a vehicular accident while traversing a sharp curve road in between the town proper of ATIMONAN and PAGBILAO. That unfortunate accident happened within PAGBILAO.
PAGBILAO is situated in between LUCENA CITY and the municipality of ATIMONAN.
I was also able to visit some parts of PAGBILAO including Barangay Bantigue when we had the chance to visit SILANGANG NAYON PARK AND RESTAURANT and the BAYVIEW ACCOMMODATION. I was also able to visit Barangay Talipan (Barangay near Lucena City) when I conducted research and interview at DEPED QUEZON PROVINCE when I was doing my MANAGEMENT RESEARCH REPORT (MRR) for the MASTER in MANAGEMENT at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM). MRR is the equivalent of THESIS in other schools.
But today was my first very time to step and roamed around the town proper of PAGBILAO.
PAGBILAO comes from the words PAPAG and BILAO. It is pronounced as PAGBILAW.
To reach PAGBILAO from LUCENA CITY by public transportation, take a JEEPNEY bound for PAGBILAO from either LUCENA GRAND CENTRAL TERMINAL, SM CITY LUCENA TERMINAL or PACIFIC MALL TERMINAL for 15 pesos fare for about 15 to 20 minutes travel time. There are also buses and jeepneys bound for other municipalities of QUEZON PROVINCE such as PADRE BURGOS, UNISAN, MULANAY, AGDANGAN, CATANAUAN, CALAUAG, GUMACA, ATIMONAN, TAGKAWAYAN and all vehicles going to BICOL which will all pass-by the TOWN PROPER of PAGBILAO. From the town proper, there are many beach resorts, island resorts, waterfalls and other interesting places to go that I will discuss in my other blogs.
For the moment, enjoy the pictures of my short JOURNEY at the town proper of PAGBILAO in QUEZON PROVINCE.
