Karimata Restaurant: Perfect to Unwind and Dine

During our second day in INDONESIA, we were treated to another AWESOME RESTAURANT in JAKARTA CITY.

I was one of the 10 officers from the PHILIPPINES who were selected to participate in the EXCHANGE OFFICER VISIT PROGRAM in INDONESIA. The visit has 6 days hectic schedule to further strengthen the relationship between the 2 allied countries. On the other hand, 10 officers from the INDONESIAN AIR FORCE are also in the PHILIPPINES coinciding with our visit in INDONESIA.

Part of the visit is to acquaint to the best and interesting places in INDONESIA including the AWESOME RESTAURANTS.

KARIMATA RESTAURANT is one of the 7 best restaurants that we visited in the island of JAVA.
ENAK means DELICIOUS,
TIDAK means NOT,
MAHAL means EXPENSIVE

The signage outside the restaurant is testament that I am in another country...

The relaxing ambiance inside the restaurant compensated the long journey and partially eliminated the hunger and thirst...we were very excited to see and taste another set of spicy INDONESIAN food...

The unusual design of the restaurant caught our attention. There is a hole under the table where you can extend your feet while eating. That was the first time that I have seen such design.

On the other side of the restaurant are tables with no holes under them. Meaning you have to sit with your legs crossed. Another interesting feature of the restaurant is the presence of pillows. After few minutes of being in the restaurant, we have seen some customers lying using the pillows while waiting for their orders to be served.

When the food was finally served, we were amazed by the nice presentation which is obviously new for us.

This is one of the numerous dishes especially served for us. A kind of fish cooked inside a bamboo. Delicious but SPICY and VERY HOT!

Another type of dish...still very delicious but not spicy!

There were other equally delicious and at the same time spicy INDONESIAN dishes that were served to us but I forgot to take pictures of them all because I satisfied my crumbling stomach and craving senses of the delightful and delectable dishes in our table.
It was a bountiful feast once again!!!

TERIMA KASIH INDONESIA! I WILL NEVER FORGET THE DELICIOUS TASTE,
THE NICE AMBIANCE
AND THE REMARKABLE HOSPITALITY!
