Another JOURNEY to a wonder of NATURE...
wonderful gift from the greatest CREATOR...
The waterfalls has three different names:
IMELDA FALLS
OR
TAYTAY FALLS
OR
MAJAYJAY FALLS
It is located at BARANGAY GAGALOT,
in the municipality of MAJAYJAY
in the province of LAGUNA...
The place is best for SWIMMING. The cold and fresh water from the waterfalls is perfect to beat the excruciating tempetature especially during summer.
Camping and picnic are also the common activities within the compound since there are adequate spaces
to assemble tents.
Day and overnight rates are very affordable.
There are many ways to reach TAYTAY FALLS if you are traveling either by private vehicle or public transportation from METRO MANILA:

This signage is visible along the highway at Barangay Gagalot if you are coming from MAJAYJAY town proper |
This is in the vicinity of the entrance way going to TAYTAY FALLS where you have to pay P20 for a day tour. |
A small lodge for rent inspired by PBB house near tge entrance |
Some useful reminders from the DENR |
Signage near the parking area |
Finally, the entrance way |
Some reminders from the local government of MAJAYJAY |
Another worthwhile reminder |
The stairway going down to the trail |
The long trail going to the waterfalls, about 15 to 20 minutes walk |
Enjoy the refreshing environs along the way |
Varying terrain along the way |
Many people flock to this place during summer, weekends, and holidays. |
To beat the excruciating heat, I bought an ICE CANDY for 12 pesos from a vendor along the way |
By continuously trudging and following the concrete trail, the beautiful sounds of the falling and rushing waters will bring more excitement especially to the first time visitors |
Green and refreshing environs along the way |
Clean water along the way, you can clearly see the bottom of the creek |
The place is crowded during summer |
Be careful in your every step because as the location of the falls get nearer, the walkway becomes slippery. |
Another reminder, at the entrance way going to the hanging bridge |
The HANGING BRIDGE |
On the way to another experience to cross another hanging bridge |
Wonderful view that can be seen from the hanging bridge |
Nice reminder again at the end of the bridge |
breathtaking view from the bridge |
FINALLY.... |
The MAJESTIC VIEW of the TAYTAY Falls |
As I go back to the big city, the picture of this another wonderful gift of nature is completely embedded in my mind and captured my whole being.
I just do hope that the local government of MAJAYJAY will continue to protect and take care this amazing gift from GOD. I also do hope that the visitors in TAYTAY FALLS will not harm or do something that will bring damage to this remarkable gift like irresponsibly throwing garbage into the water and its surroundings.
Primarily, this is a great blessing that generates income for the municipality of MAJAYJAY and provides business opportunities for the people. MAJAYJAY is a fourthclasss municipality. The presence of the waterfalls greatly help them to boost TOURISM INDUSTRY.
I am advocating to every FILIPINO whether they are residing in the Philippines or working/residing abroad to visit our local tourist destinations first before exploring other parts of the world.
Our country is extremely rich in beautiful and amazing destinations. Aside from enjoying your JOURNEY in our own country, you are also helping our countrymen and the local communities by improving their economic condition.
