How I learned the Lifetime Lessons from the Vietnam War?

When I was designated as the GROUP LEADER in a group of 5 people from 5 different countries, I took it as a great challenge not only with the voluminous reference materials to read and numerous videos to watch in order to equip me with adequate knowledge about VIETNAM WAR, the specific case study assigned to our group, but also in dealing with individuals with different background, culture, and orientation.

But just like in WAR, and as a DESIGNATED COMMANDER, I have to lead to successfully accomplish our mission!!!

MY POLITICAL WILL is HIGHLY NEEDED to WIN THE WAR IN THE CLASSROOM of PROVIDING A QUALITY PRESENTATION WITHIN 6 DAYS!!!

THE CHALLENGING PROCESS...

During our first group meeting, I requested them to just gather as much information and materials about VIETNAM WAR then read and take some notes especially the LESSONS LEARNED because the professor during that time only gave us the TOPIC while the OUTLINE and DETAILS of the presentation will be discussed the following day.

During the second meeting, since we already know the OUTLINE and the details like the duration of presentation is for 20 minutes while another 10 minutes will be devoted for the question and answer portion. I asked them what portion they want to take. We agreed to divide the presentation into 5 parts with each person to come up with the powerpoint slides and manuscript to be submitted during our next meeting for consolidation.

During the third meeting, after consolidating and finalizing the slides and manuscript, we decided on who are going to present. We agreed that 3 persons will present to properly manage the time and also to clearly present the group output. I am the 3rd person to present to come with the LESSONS LEARNED and CONCLUSION.

THE WONDERFUL OUTPUT...

The following slides contain my presentation about the LESSONS LEARNED, OWN VIEWPOINTS and the CONCLUSION about VIETNAM WAR.

Other members of the group readily agreed to what I have crafted.

I just expounded the MAIN POINTS stated in the slide during the actual presentation.

Lessons learned from Vietnam War are not only applicable in present wars, but also very much applicable in dealing with other problems, issues, and concerns whether in the government agencies or in private organizations.

This is our FINAL SLIDE with "THANK YOU" interpreted in 5 different languages from 5 different countries (PHILIPPINES, PAKISTAN, PAPUA NEW GUINEA, EGYPT and MYANMAR).

We started the presentation with captivating ATTENTION GETTING background of the Vietnam War, sustained by the COMPREHENSIVE DETAILS and ANALYSIS, and capped by the CREATIVE LESSONS LEARNED, CONCLUSION and PARTING SLIDE!!!

THE SWEET OUTCOME...

After our GROUP PRESENTATION, the professor made a short but sweet comment "I AM DEEPLY IMPRESSED WITH THE PRESENTATION."

How about you? What are your views about VIETNAM WAR?
