3 THINGS WHY FLOYD WON THE MEGAFIGHT

The most awaited FIGHT OF THE CENTURY is over. My prediction in silence was justified. In silence because I kept it to myself. I wanted MANNY to win simply because I am a FILIPINO. But as a BOXING fan who watched the previous fights of both fighters especially with the 5 fighters that are common to them (HATTON, COTTO, MARQUEZ, DELA HOYA and MOSLEY), I knew that MANNY would have a hard time to hurdle the challenge called FLOYD. I have three points that made the difference:

1. SKILLS

The boxing skills of FLOYD have SCIENCE. His movements and punches are scientifically executed. It is clearly understandable because his father, FLOYD MAYWEATHER SR., is a former boxer. The elements of learned and inherited skills are present. The perfection both in offense and defense is strengthened for 20 years by dealing with great and skilled boxers. On the other hand, the power of MANNY was basically honed by his situation to deal with poverty. When MANNY had his formal training in the gym, there were habits or movements that could not be changed. 

2. FOCUS

Another keyword is FOCUS. FLOYD has only one thing in mind, BOXING!!! On the other hand, MANNY wears many hats. He is a playing coach of a PBA team, a congressman and many other roles that certainly he still carries with him even in the boxing ring. FLOYD is lean and mean when he entered the ring, MANNY might have excess baggage. 

3. MOTIVATION

The motivation of FLOYD is to continue the legacy of his father. The objective is to win to protect the image handed down from one generation to another. Take note, they have the same name. His MOTIVATION flows in his veins and pumps out of his heart.  In the case of MANNY, he started as young boy with the primary objective to help his parents and siblings to improve their economic condition. His simple aim was to bring food for himself and for his family. Today, MANNY has different and complex motivations because of his multitude of roles. FLOYD has simple and consistent motivation, LEGACY of his BLOOD. For MANNY, there are varying and complexities in MOTIVATIONS that might drained him. 

These are the 3 things that in my own understanding and analysis made FLOYD won the MEGAFIGHT.
