I planned several times to try the massage and other services at WENSHA SPA since I have read many articles and blogs about them. Some are positive. Others are negative. I wanted to experience the good things and hope to correct the bad things.
But it never materialized, until one evening....
It was after taking our dinner with 2 bottles of beer in one of the establishments at MCKINLEY HILL which was sponsored by a friend that we decided to try the services at WENSHA in PASAY CITY...
The full package with whole body massage costs 830 pesos. The package includes whole body massage for one hour, eat-all-you-can of Filipino food and Chinese Shabu-shabu, free use of facilities like SAUNA, STEAM BATH and JACUZZI and you can stay in the place for a maximum of 8 hours.
After paying at the counter, you will be provided with a key (electronically operated) for the designated locker where you will be securing your things. Then you will proceed to a locker room where you have to leave your shoes or footwear, then a pair of slippers will be provided for you. After that, you will proceed to the locker with number matched with the key to change to kimono type of shirt and short. You will also be provided with a towel. (Make sure that your valuables, shirt, short/pants are properly secured inside the locker and it should be closed and locked.)
Then you can proceed for a shower before using the facilities for SAUNA, STEAM BATH or JACUZZI. After availing and enjoying the said services, you can already proceed to the massage room. When we came, there were plenty of people availing the services and the massage room for male clients with about 15 to 20 beds were almost full. We waited for about 15 minutes before our massage attendants arrived. Fortunately, it was an excellent massage service. One disappointment, there is a signage that I was not able to memorize the exact words but it means MAINTAIN SILENCE, MASSAGE THERAPY ONGOING. But the counter personnel and the massage attendants were talking loudly that the place was converted into like a marketplace with people shouting and selling something. But what I did not like most was when a piece of paper was handed to me by the massage attendant after the massage service. You are required to sign and indicate the amount of how much for the tip. It was quite disappointing for them to impose a tip. It should be voluntary, not mandatory. I just do hope that the management of WENSHA will be able to read this BLOG and for them to change the system.
Going back to the story of my actual experiences. You can sleep after the massage or enjoy cooking and eating shabu-shabu and Filipino Food at the dining area. But when we availed the buffet meal after the massage, it was already about 1:00 o'clock in the morning. The only available food were the Chinese shabu-shabu. But it should not be the case, the Filipino and Chinese food should be available all the time.
After availing the services, you will be provided with good quality toothbrush with matching toothpaste at the LOCKER ROOM. One of the services that I appreciated.
Another thing that should be improved by the management is to place a massage area for couples. With the present set-up, if you go there as couples you will only meet at the DINING AREA because there are separate areas for male and female for other services including the massage area.
This blog intended to promote the good services of WENSHA SPA and hoping to correct or improve the not so good systems or practices.
I am just hoping that when I come back, the comments and suggestions will be taken as part of the FEEDBACK and as basis for IMPROVEMENT.
