I used to witness the stillness and mysterious waters of the seven lakes of SAN PABLO CITY in the province of LAGUNA from above when I was still flying the UH-1H helicopter while traveling from MANILA to QUEZON PROVINCE...
But this year, I was able to finally visit one of them...and got mesmerized by its enchanting wonders...
Just a walking distance from the SAN PABLO CITY HALL,
the SAMPALOC LAKE...
the biggest of the 7 LAKES
fronting MT. CRISTOBAL...
Like me, there were many people who were enjoying and savoring the alluring sunrise...
The road around SAMPALOC LAKE is actually full of joggers, walkers, and bikers enjoying the alluring view of the sky, the lake, the flying birds, the mountains, and all other elements of nature...
BUKO JUICE for 20 pesos is available after sweating it out walking or running or biking around the lake...
There are "BIBINGKA" (RICE CAKE) and other food being sold in the area for you to enjoy and taste the native food...
HOTELS and RESORTS are also available within the area...
HOW TO GET THERE?
SAN PABLO CITY is about 90 kilometers south of Manila, about 2 hours travel by land...
If you are a backpacker, there are available buses bound for LUCENA CITY which will pass by SAN PABLO CITY for a 130 pesos fare for an air-conditioned bus...
Just tell the conductor to drop you at "MEDICAL" SAN PABLO City...
Then ride a JEEPNEY going to SAN PABLO CITY proper for 10 pesos fare, tell the driver to drop you at the vicinity of the Cathedral.
From the 7-11 near the CATHEDRAL, you can take a tricycle ride for 20 pesos or you can just walk going to SAN PABLO CITY HALL. SAMPALOC LAKE is just behind the SAN PABLO CITY HALL.
I just do hope that I can visit the other 6 lakes to complete my adventures in SAN PABLO CITY...Let us enjoy our JOURNEY in LIFE...
Let us also PROTECT our ENVIRONMENT from any damage...
