ASSISTANT COMMANDANT OF AIR FORCE OFFICER SCHOOL

Savor every PAGE of your JOURNEY...certainly it will never happen again...every position in the profession of arms is a LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY that only few are given the RARE CHANCE to occupy...CHERISH every MOMENT...

Another significant chapter in the pages of my JOURNEY in LIFE was when I became the ASSISTANT COMMANDANT (ASCOM) of the AIR FORCE OFFICER SCHOOL (AFOS) for 15 months...It was when the AIR FORCE OFFICER SCHOOL was still located in COLONEL JESUS VILLAMOR AIR BASE in PASAY CITY...the AFOS is presently located in FERNANDO AIR BASE, LIPA CITY...

The ROLE of the ASCOM is to become an ESSENTIAL BRIDGE between the COMMANDANT and the STAFF and the rest of the PERSONNEL of the SCHOOL or ORGANIZATION...

When it comes to upward written communication, the ASCOM  should ensure that contents, format and language usage are free from errors before it reaches the Office of the Commandant. When it comes to downward communication, the ASCOM should ensure that it is widely disseminated, completely understood by every personnel and fully implemented up to the lowest level of the organization.

During that stint, I was able to experience to become part of the PANELIST for the Commandant's Paper of the SQUADRON OFFICER COURSE (SOC) and Chairman of the Position Paper of the BASIC AIR FORCE OFFICER COURSE (BAFOC)...

A JOURNEY with extensive great learning experience...

Accepting the responsibility as Officer-in-Charge of the AIR FORCE OFFICER SCHOOL...

Relinquishing the position to the newly installed Commandant
of the AIR FORCE OFFICER SCHOOL...

It was a REMARKABLE chapter in the pages of JOURNEY not only in the PROFESSION OF ARMS but also in LIFE...
