But in almost a year of being assigned at Villamor Air Base, I just visited the place just once when I was invited in a dinner by classmates who are already in the commercial airlines.
It was only in December of 2012 that I was able to explore the place when Christmas vacation provided the extra time.
The JOURNEY inside the structures actually brought back the memories of immediate past. It was the former location of my first unit assignment as a MILITARY PILOT. That unit is the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing which is now located in BRIG GEN BENITO H EBUEN AIR BASE in LAPU-LAPU CITY. It provided the flashed back of happy and at the same time challenging moments of my stint in that unit.
But certainly, there is no permanent thing in this world but CHANGE. We just have to accept the positive things brought about by that change towards PROGRESS.
