How I efficiently and effectively perform my tasks with the CHECKLIST SYSTEM?

CHECKLIST is an excellent tool towards the successful conduct of any activity or endeavor...

CHECKLIST is simply a list of REQUIREMENTS for a certain activity together with the in-charge office or person to facilitate the systematic division of labor for a smooth flow of preparation and flawless execution or implementation of the plans and preparations. The third column is for the REMARKS which contains other information such as venue, attire or uniform, assembly time, update of preparation and other pertinent data.

Another important information that I highlighted is the DATE which is in red ink. It is very significant because CHECKLIST should be updated whenever there are changes and other developments in the conduct of activity. The date indicates when the CHECKLIST is last updated.

The CHECKLIST should  be continuously improved based on the LESSONS LEARNED during the actual conduct of the activity until the CHECKLIST for an activity is perfected not only to have a SUCCESSFUL event but also a REMARKABLE one as well.

Below is an example of a CHECKLIST that I have been using in my previous positions that made them all successful.

The designated personnel or office should also make his/her own checklist to satisfy the requirements in the main checklist. For example if you are designated as in-charge for the vehicle or transportation requirements, you should have in your checklist: AVAILABILITY, SUITABILITY AND RELIABILITY of VEHICLES; BRIEFING FOR THE DRIVER; ROUTE AND STOP OVER; FUEL REQUIREMENTS; SEATING ARRANGEMENT; CONTACT NUMBERS IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, ETC.

As shown is the sample CHECKLIST for the person in-charge of the TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS:

Always use CHECKLIST for every activity or endeavor.
It will make your WORK easier, will provide efficient utilization of RESOURCES (both HUMAN and LOGISTICS) and will pave for SUCCESSFUL RESULT.
