San Andreas: A Movie Review

Watching movie is one of my favorite past times. When I was still in grade school, it was a foresight for me whenever I have extra money and during weekends to watch movie in the nearby town.  I remember that the payment for two movies (1 new movie and 1 old movie) is just 1 PESO. When I entered college in Naga City, it was still my past time. The payment for the movie during that time was about 10 pesos already.

Ar present, due to my other priorities and busy schedule and the presence of cable on television, I seldom watch movie in the malls or movie houses.

I was just curious about the different reviews and feedback about SAN ANDREAS. Large billboards features DWAYNE "THE ROCK"  JOHNSON as the face of the movie.

Last night when I was given the opportunity to once again give in to my favorite past time, I grabbed the rare chance to watch SAN ANDREAS in a MOVIEHOUSE.

The special effects, the plot, and most especially the ACTORS are commendable. The movie also brought into our awareness about the current killer natural calamity that claimed many lives in NEPAL and JAPAN, EARTHQUAKE.

The Philippines is one of the countries in the world that is being threatened by this fearful natural phenomenon. Something that we cannot do something rather than be totally prepared.

The movie is also about SHAKEN RELATIONSHIP between "THE ROCK" and his wife named EMMA (portrayed by CARLA GUGINO). It rooted from the death of one of their daughters due to drowning or accident in a turbulent body of water.

However, the UNIMAGINABLE disaster that hit them made them realize that they need each other not just to remain alive but also to save another daughter "BLAKE" (portrayed by ALEXANDRA DADDARIO) who was supposedly with the architect boyfriend (portrayed by LAON GRUFFUDD) of EMMA.

The disaster also uncovered the real character of the boyfriend. The successful architect boyfriend left BLAKE when she got stuck inside the car. That incident however proven that LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT IS REALLY TRUE when the new acquaintance name BEN (portrayed by HUGO JOHNSTONE BURT) of BLAKE together with his little brother, saved BLAKE from that difficult situation. They survived the numerous aftershocks and various challenges along the way just to reach "HIGHER GROUNDS" in order for them to be reunited. On the other hand, "THE ROCK" utilized his skills as a PILOT and RESCUER while relying on his innermost instinct as a HUSBAND, WIFE, and A GOOD MAN to save everyone from the disaster including his own personal battle.

In the end, it is really STRONG DETERMINATION, GOOD INTENTION, UNWAVERING PERSEVERANCE and TRUE LOVE that will save us from DIFFICULTIES, from PROBLEM, from ACCIDENTS, from CONFLICTS, from CALAMITIES and all other CHALLENGES along our JOURNEY in LIFE.

The movie is REMARKABLY wonderful ....and BLAKE is AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!
