WASHINGTON SYCIP PARK

I came to know about the man and the park when I took up Master in Management at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in 2011 but I was able to visit the PARK only one afternoon in 2015 when I decided to walk from GREENBELT 1 going to the venue of my BAHASA INDONESIA LANGUAGE class at INDONESIAN EMBASSY located at SALCEDO St.

WASHINGTON SYCIP
is the founder of the
ASIAN INSTITUTE of MANAGEMENT (AIM) and
the SGV (Sycip, Gorres, Velayo) and Co.

SYCIP was born on June 30, 1921 in Manila. He is a product of the public school system and a great advocate of public education, micro financing and entrepreneurship and public health. He has an unwavering pursuit to help alleviate poverty.

SYCIP founded AIM in 1968 for his vision to develop competent socially responsible managers for global enterprise. Since its inception, AIM has more than 5,000 graduates from 27 countries.

He is a topnotch accountant. He passed the examinations for the CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT at the age of 18 years old. He holds BS and MS degrees from the University of Santo Tomas (UST).

The WASHINGTON SYCIP PARK is the gift of the AYALALAND in recognition of his great contributions to our society.

The PARK is in between LEGAZPI ST. (to the North), GAMBOA ST. (to the South), RADA ST. (to the WEST) and CORINTHIAN PLAZA PARKING LOT (to the East) in MAKATI CITY. It is just a walking distance from GREENBELT MALLS and also from AIM. It is opened to public from 6am to 10pm. There is a KOI FISH POND in the park. Security guards are on duty for safety of the visiting public. The park management strictly implements "NO SMOKING" and "NO PETS" within the park.

Discover the PARK, especially the inspiring words of WASHINGTON SYCIP.  The place is nice venue to enjoy nature after a long stroll in the Central Business District of Makati City or to take a rest from seeing tall buildings and structures.
